About the Role

We are looking for a Developer Experience Engineer to improve the developer experience across the Zeet product and help developers get the most out of Zeet.

Zeet’s is built for the developer community and this role will help us build more resources for the community we serve through docs, code samples, and quick start guides.

This role is part-time to start, with opportunity for full-time.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has experience with modern cloud environment like AWS, GCP, and others
  • Thrives in a small team environment, working closely with developers
  • Enjoys trying out new technologies
  • Obsesses over developer experience and enjoys reading well-written, clear, and accurate documentation
  • Has hands-on experience using Open Source tools with modern cloud environment like AWS, GCP, and others
  • Can recognize and solve problems proactively. Can manage multiple projects, be the responsible individual for delivering them, and work with teammates on completion.
  • Experience or willingness to get hands-on with distribution (e.g. newsletter, social, twitter)

🤯 Bonus Points**:**

  • Early-stage tech startup experience
  • Experience with analytics tooling such as SQL, Metabase, Grafana, Prometheus, Google Analytics
  • Understand DevOps/SRE process and pain points
  • Experience or willingness to deliver video content and stream to developers
  • Can craft helpful UI copy or tooltips in the Zeet product
  • Experience using Markdown and documentation tools like Docusaurus and Ghost (CMS)
  • You have a favorite documentation site (other than Stripe’s, we love theirs too)

Within 3 months, you’ll:

  • Learn about Zeet and deeply understand the software deployment landscape
  • Level up our document site in terms of content, consistency, and quality
  • Have developed a developer content schedule and written dozens of pieces of content.
  • Engage with the developer community, and see the impact you're making every day

Projects you might work on:

  • Document relevant use-cases for how developers can use Zeet.
  • Write technical articles and set-up guides for using Zeet with adjacent technologies (e.g. Deploying Redis with Zeet, Deploying Posthog with Zeet).
  • Write and update the documentation for new and existing features
  • Deliver this content on the Zeet Docs site, Zeet blog, and other channels (e.g. YouTube, streams, newsletters, twitter etc).

Projects you might work on:

  • Automatic Canary environments for complete environment rollback testing
  • Scalable networking infrastructure design and automation, compatible across multiple cloud backend
  • Advanced build dependency resolution and optimization
